E problem and bacteria?

The number of bacteria in a Petri dish culture after t hours is given by B=100e^0.693t

a. what was the initial number of bacteria present?

b. how many bacteria were present after 6 hours?

c. when will the number of bacteria be 200? Estimate the doubling time of the bacteria population.

E problem and bacteria?
The think you should be able to answer the first question

(althought it wasn't clear) If time hasn't pass yet, the equation is 100e^0 e^0 is 1 and 1*100 is 100. So the initial number is 100. After 6 hours... I got around 6,394 on my calculator. Hmm, the next question you want how long to get 200 bacteria and it turns out the constant 100 was useful.

200=100e^0.693t

2=e^0.693t

Okay, there is no actual to solve this unless you keep guessing but calculators are useful these days.

You set up the equation so that ln2= 0.693t. find ln 2 on your calculator. Happens to be that is it 0.69314718. Now, I'm sure this is homework(maybe not), but anyway.. t is approximately 1. 1 hour long to get around 200.
